DHANGADHI, June 15: A woman, who was staying at a quarantine facility in Lamki Chuha Municipality-1, Kailali, was allegedly gang-raped on Saturday night.
The rape victim told the police that she was raped by three volunteers at the quarantine faciltity set up at Shahid Smriti Secondary School.
Police said all the accused were arrested earlier on Sunday. Those arrested have been identified as Kishor Pariyar, 20, Laxman BK, 20 and Sarjan BK, 18.
Uttam Subedi, Chief at the Sudur Paschim Provincial Police Office, told Republica Online that the victim filed a case against the three accused. “We have launched an investigation into the case,” he added.
When asked about the incident, Kailai Police Chief Anup Shumsher JBR, however, said that they are yet to receive detailed information about the rape case.
