Where to contact if someone needs Remdesivir?

KATHMANDU, May 12: The Ministry of Health and Population has asked the people to buy prescribed ‘Remdesivir’ from authorized shops.


Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry, Dr Sameer Kumar Adhikari, issued a notice on Wednesday requesting to contact Ayaan Healthcare, the official importer of Remdesivir. Those who need the medicine should bring an identity and the prescription of the concerned hospital and doctor.

According to the ministry, Dr Abul Ansari of Healthcare at UN Park in Kupondole can be contacted at 9800555910, Subash at 9810194416, Bimal at 9841506370 and Kamal at 9851124639. The ministry has stated that the supplier will be allowed to charge Rs 4,900 per Remdesivir.


A total of 32,000 vials of Remdesivir have been brought to Nepal from Bangladesh on Tuesday. Of the total Remdesivir, 10,000 vials were brought by the government and the 22,000 vials were brought by Ayaan Healthcare Pvt Ltd, Kupondole.
