We will bring Pokhara Int'l Airport into operation within eight months: Minister Ale

KATHMANDU, Dec 18: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale has said that Pokhara International Airport will be operational within eight month.

KATHMANDU, Dec 18: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale has said that Pokhara International Airport will be operational within eight months.


Minister Ale also said that a calibration flight will be operated at Gautam Buddha International Airport within 10 days. Speaking at the 21st Annual General Meeting of the Association of Airlines Operators of Nepal (AOAN) held in Kathmandu on Friday, he reminded that the aviation sector of Nepal, including airports, has been making progress due to the contribution of businessmen.

Minister Ale also lauded the business people working in the field of aviation for doing more than the state by providing employment opportunities to thousands of people. Speaking on the occasion, the re-elected president of the association, Captain Rameshwar Thapa, said that it was possible to make progress in the field of aviation in Nepal due to the contribution of the seniors.


Various individuals and organizations who contributed in the field of aviation were honored in the program.
