REPUBLICA, Jan 4: As part of its campaign "Warm Madhes, Embrace Madhes," Koshish, a group set up by doctors based in Dharan, has handed over warm clothes to the poverty-stricken Musahar community at Hunumannagar and Yoginiya VDCs in Saptari district on Sunday. A total of 200 households have benefitted from the cloth distribution program organized by Koshish. The group has handed over blankets, woolen caps, jackets, woolen sweaters and shawls.
"We were able to bring smiles on the faces of members of a marginalized community, especially children and elderly," said Deebya Raj Mishra of Koshish Group. According to him, the funds were raised through individual contributions for the campaign.
