KATHMANDU, May 14: The voting for the first phase of the local level elections completed in 34 districts of three provinces.
"Voting is now over. We are collecting the details," said Election Commissioner Narendra Dahal, adding "We'll make public the details shortly by organizing a press conference."

According to commissioner Dahal, the election remained largely peaceful across the districts. "Except in Namobuddha of Kavrepalanchok and Melung of Dolakha districts, the election remained largely peaceful," said Dahal.
According to Dahal, around 75 percent of the total voters cast their votes to pick their local representatives.
