Voter ID card distribution begins today

KATHMANDU, Nov 24: Distribution of voter identity cards is beginning from today for the first phase election of House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly held on coming Sunday in 32 districts.

KATHMANDU, Nov 24: Distribution of voter identity cards is beginning from today for the first phase election of House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly held on coming Sunday in 32 districts.


Election Commission has allocated Friday and Saturday to distribute the cards from concerned polling center of 32 districts for the first phase of the election of November 26. For the second phase December 7, EC declared the date of December 5 and 6; the voters can receive their cards from the officials deployed in concerned polling center of 45 districts.

Voters who have not received the cards yet or the new voters, who listed their names on the voters’ list recently after the local level elections, can receive the card.


The EC has stated that those voters who have already received their cards during the local level election can use the same card. 


EC spokesperson Nawaraj Dhakal said that an arrangement has been made to provide the voter ID card to the family members if the voter could not reach to collect his/her voter ID card due to various reasons.
