KATHMANDU, Sept 14: The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has informed all that vehicular movement in Kathmandu Valley may be affected as the visiting top Chinese legislator will be busy holding high-level meetings on Wednesday as well.
Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has suggested ordinary public to take alternative routes as the high-level meeting and visit of the third rank leader of Chinese Communist Party (CPC) and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), Li Zhanshu will affect vehicular movement in certain section of Valley’s road.
TIA limits access of VIP guest vehicles in airport
The office had stated that in the morning places like Ravi Bhawan, Soaltee Hotel, Kalimati, Teku, Bhotebhal, Tripureshwor, Thapathali, Maitighar, New Baneshwor, Koteshwor, Jadibuti, Lokanthali, Kaushaltar, Gatthaghar, Naya Thimi, Radhe Radhe, Sallaghari, Cancer Hospital, Kalopati, Byas, Bhaktapur Durbar Square would be affected due to the VIP movement.
Similarly, around 3:30 PM today, traffic will be affected in places around Soaltee Hotel, Kalimati, Teku, Tripureshwor, Nagsthan, Goswara Post Office, Mahankal, Bhotahiti, Jamal, Kesarmahal, Lainchaur, Sangrila Hotel, Panipokhari and Sheetal Niwas. Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has requested the drivers to make their journey easier by using an alternative route.
The government is giving the honor of VIP guest to Zhanshu, who is the third ranking member of the Chinese Communist Party. Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota reached the airport to welcome him. The police are providing strict security on his ride to Kathmandu. Chinese security personnel have also come for the security of Zhanshu. Nepal Police has also deployed a team under the command of SP to provide security to him.
