Vehicular movement along Jaya Prithvi Highway resumes
The District Police Office, Tanahun informed that the road section, which was blocked since 6 AM this morning, came into operation after 9 AM.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Yuvraj Khadka at the District Police Office, Tanahun, informed that the landslide debris were removed to resume vehicular movement along the Highway
People coming to Pokhara from Mugling and going to Chitwan and Kathmandu from Dumre are now heading towards their destination from the highway. Works are currently underway for the expansion of the Prithviraj Highway.
Landslides have become a regular occurrence in recent days as walls are being cut down as a part of the expansion works of the Highway. Incessant rainfall has further worsened the problem.
