KATHMANDU, May 8: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar is Rs 135.43, and the selling rate is Rs 136.03.
The euro is being traded at Rs 153.95 (buying) and Rs 154.63 (selling), while the UK pound sterling is at Rs 180.80 (buying) and Rs 181.60 (selling). The Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 164.37 and a selling rate of Rs 165.09.
The Australian dollar is valued at Rs 87.70 (buying) and Rs 88.09 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 98.19 (buying) and Rs 98.63 (selling), and the Singapore dollar at Rs 104.92 (buying) and Rs 105.39 (selling).

For 10 Japanese yen, the buying rate is Rs 9.45 and the selling rate is Rs 9.49. One Chinese yuan is valued at Rs 18.74 (buying) and Rs 18.83 (selling). The Saudi riyal has a buying rate of Rs 36.11 and a selling rate of Rs 36.26, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 37.15 (buying) and Rs 37.32 (selling).
According to the central bank, the Thai baht is traded at Rs 4.15 (buying) and Rs 4.16 (selling). The UAE dirham stands at Rs 36.87 (buying) and Rs 37.04 (selling), the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 31.85 (buying) and Rs 32.09 (selling), the South Korean won (per 100) at Rs 9.73 (buying) and Rs 9.78 (selling), the Swedish krona at Rs 14.11 (buying) and Rs 14.17 (selling), and the Danish krone at Rs 20.63 (buying) and Rs 20.72 (selling).
The Hong Kong dollar is traded at Rs 17.45 (buying) and Rs 17.53 (selling), the Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 441.74 (buying) and Rs 443.70 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at Rs 359.20 (buying) and Rs 360.79 (selling), and the Omani riyal at Rs 351.77 (buying) and Rs 353.33 (selling). The Indian rupee (per 100) is exchanged at Rs 160 (buying) and Rs 160.15 (selling).
Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that it may revise these exchange rates at any time if needed. Commercial banks may offer different rates, and updated rates are available on the central bank's website.
