KATHMANDU, Dec 2: US Ambassador to Nepal Dean R. Thompson paid a courtesy call on Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) on Thursday.
Ambassador Thompson visited Mayor Shah's office at the National City Hall. In the meeting, Ambassador Thompson said that KMC has a sister relationship with various cities in the US and said that he is committed to sustainable relations between the cities and their citizens.

Ambassador Thompson and Shah also discussed the issues of mutual learning and promoting interests, preservation and promotion of heritage, mutual learning and practice of urban development and various other facets of bilateral relations.
Kathmandu metropolis has a sister relationship with Fredericksburg, Boulder, Eugene city and Rochester city in America.
