Upendra Yadav leaving for the Philippines tonight

KATHMANDU, July 28: Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav is scheduled to depart for the Philippines tonight.


Chairman Yadav is departing for the Philippines at 11:30 PM tonight to attend the steering committee meeting of the Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats (CALD) and Group of Asia Democratic Parties (SOCDEM Asia Pacific).


JSP Party leader Purna Basnet said that along with Chairman Yadav,  Arjun Thapa, head of International Relations Department of the party, will also participate in this visit.

According to him, Chairman Yadav will address a program on 'Working for a New Progressive Era' at the Global Conference of Progressive Alliance on July 31.


Similarly, Yadav is also scheduled to attend the opening session of the Akbayan Citizens' Action Party convention, a political party in the Philippines.


He is a member of the Steering Committee of Nepal SOCDEM Asia Pacific and  JSP.


Chairman Yadav is set to return on August 1.
