GULMI, Nov 27: The number of people dying in a jeep accident in Isma village in Gulmi district on Friday morning has climbed to six as one more injured passenger breathed his last on his way to hospital for treatment.
The injured Pharsuram Thapa, 19 of Isma Rural Municipality-4 died when he was being rushed to hospital, according to police.

The ill-fated vehicle (Lu 1 Ja 1166), en route to district headquarters, Tamghas from Ishma, skidded some 400 meters off the road in Isma Rural Municipality-4. There were 10 passengers onboard the jeep.
Five passengers were declared dead on the spot, according to Superintendent of Police (SP), Prabin Lal Shreshta, the chief of the District Police Office, Gulmi. Those who died on the spot are identified as Dambar Bahadur Hitan, 65, Shiva Darlami, 33, Basant Darlami, 30, and Dhan Bahadur Achhami, 33, of Isma Rural Municipality-4 and Sundari Thapa, 80, of Malika Rural Municipality-5.
Sarswati Darlami, 28, and Kamal Hitan, 26 were injured during the mishap. They are undergoing treatment at the District Hospital in Tamghas. The driver of the jeep, Budhha Basnet, however was unharmed during the incident.
The accident occurred while the vehicle was turning on a bend at Doholi village. “Further investigation into the incident is underway,” said SP Shrestha.
