Mary Katherine Greenlaw, the mayor of Fredericksburg, USA, along with other delegates visited the Kanjirowa National Secondary School, Kathmandu and talked with the students of the School about the education system, geographical and social aspects of the United States on Thursday.
According to a press release, Greenlaw shared her experiences and viewed that the need of Nepal and US were different. As she spoke on the role of the Mayor in the United States, she also shared her own teaching experiences from the past.
Swiss ambassador at Kanjirowa
Kapil Dev Regmi, chairperson of Kanjirowa National Secondary School, welcomed the delegates and opined the possibilities of working together in educational projects in near future.
The delegates of Greenlaw interacted with the students on educational and social issues. Mahendra Khanal, executive director of the school, handed over the token of love to the delegates on the school’s behalf.
Samjhana Kharel, director of the school, thanked the team and expressed her gratitude for the visit and shared that she was also involved in Kathmandu Sister City, the organizing body for their visit.
