Unified Socialist leader Nepal off to Venezuela to attend World Parliamentary Forum

KATHMANDU, Nov 2: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal has left for Venezuela today to take part in the 'World Parliamentary Forum against Fascism'.


Nepal, also a former Prime Minister, is leading Nepali delegation to the Forum at the invitation of the Parliamentary Forum of Venezuela.

During his visit, leader Nepal is scheduled to address a conference to be organized by the Forum in Venezuela on November 4-5, said party's Secretary Som Prasad Pandey. 


He was seen off at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu by his party's leaders and cadres. 


Party's senior Vice-Chairperson Rajendra Pandey has been assigned the responsibility of Acting Chairperson of the party during Chairperson Nepal's absence, added Secretary Pandey.


More than 300 parliamentarians from over 70 countries are participating in the conference, according to Pedro Infante, the first Vice-President of the National Assembly of Venezuela.
