UNESCO Director-General Bokova calls PM Oli

Kathmandu, April 18: Visiting United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Director-General, Irina Bokova called on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at latter's office Singh Durbar today.

On the occasion, Bokova welcomed the new constitution of Nepal and wished for materializing the commitment of the government, expressing UNESCO's support for the reconstruction of cultural heritages damaged by the last year's earthquake.


According to PM Oli's foreign affairs expert Gopal Khanal, Director-General Bokova committed to support for reaching education to the people of remote and rural areas and women and children.

Similarly, PM Oli expressed gratitude to the support of the UNESCO and wished her a successful second term to the post of Director-General.

Bokova arrived here on Sunday for a three-day visit on Nepal. RSS
