Deuba said that Nepali Congress will not bring in any further amendment proposal on the bill.
Earlier on Thursday, a team of NC lawmakers from Madhes, led by Pharmullah Mansoor, had urged party President Deuba to lead the constitution amendment by fast-tracking the parliamentary process.
Following it, Deuba had summoned the consultation meeting. Besides Deuba, Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi, NC leaders Prakash Man Singh and Krishna Sitaula were also present at the meeting.
