Standing Committee member Amrit Bohora told myrepublica.com that the meeting discussed the proposed political document and party statute amendment proposal. The Central Committee will hold deliberations on both the documents before endorsing it. The Standing Committee will again meet on Sunday ahead of the Central Committee meeting.
UML leaders are divided over whether or not to revise the party´s guiding principle, “People’s Multiparty Democracy (PMD)” that was propounded by former UML General Secretary late Madan Bhandari.
