KATHMANDU, Nov 29: CPN UML candidate Bhagwati Chaudhary has defeated Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar from Sunsari-3 in the elections to the member of the House of Representatives.

Chaudhary defeated Gachchhadar with a margin of 5,188 votes. Chhaudhary secured 40,788 votes while Gachchhadar garnered 35,600 votes.
