UDMF compromises of Madhesi People´s Right Forum-Democratic (MPRF-D), Madhesi People´s Right Forum-Republican (MPRF-R), Tarai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP), Tarai Madhes Democratic Party Nepal (TMDPN) and Sadbhawana Party.
In the meeting, MPRF-R Chairman Jaya Prakash Prasad Gupta tabled a four-page working paper for discussion. Gupta, in his paper, has raised a dozen questions on the implementation of the five-point deal, including possible role of the front if the prime minister does not quit as agreed in the deal.
His paper also stressed on the need of forming UDMF´s view on system of governance, electoral system, constitutional court, land policy, judiciary and the non-changeable provisions in the new constitution.
Gupta has suggested that the legislative parliament itself should take initiatives to form a national consensus government and create the environment for the resignation of Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal.
The MPRF-R chairman has proposed integration of 5,000 PLA combatants under mixed model and stated that the Maoists must completely detach themselves from weapons for the successful completion of the peace process.
The meeting will continue on Monday, according to Gupta.
Meanwhile, UDMF did not attend an all-party meeting called by Nepali Congress at its central office on Sunday, accusing the latter of showing dual character during the negotiations for extending the CA term on May 28. Various other small parties, including CPN (Samyukta), Rastriya Prajatantra Party attended the meeting.
UDMF claims that the parties could not reach an agreement on modality of integration, standard norms for integration and timeframe for the PLA integration as the Congress did not stick to its previous stance.
In a separate context, TMDP leaders handed over a memorandum to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Bharat Mohan Adhikari, drawing the government´s attention to the problems facing the people living the Nepal-India border.
