BIRGUNJ, Dec 3: The cadres of agitating Unified Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) and a group of Indian nationals have clashed here in Miteri bridge of India-Nepal border point on Thursday morning.
According to Parsa District Police Chief SSP Raj Babu Shrestha, the incident occurred as the UDMF cadres seized and destroyed the Petrol filled jerry cans ferried by a Indian national via a rickshaw from Raxaul, India.

District Police Office has deputed a team of police personnel at the incident area.
According to two UDMF cadres have sustained injuries in the incident and they have been identified as Shatrughan Yadav of Inarwa-19 and Tarai Madhes Democratic Party district leader Rekha Sah. They are undergoing treatment at Narayani sub-Regional Hospital, Birgunj.
On Wednesday night, a group of Indian citizens had attacked agitating cadres of UDMF who were staging a sit-in at the Miteri bridge of the Birgunj-Raxaul border point. At least five cadres were injured in the incident.
They injured are being treated at Narayani sub-Regional Hospital. One Indian number-plated truck entered into Raxaul while the cadres were chased away from their sit-in spot on the border point.
Agitating UDMF cadres had been staging sit-in at the bridge stopping flow of goods for over two months.
