Two vehicles vandalized during oppn's Kavre banda

BANEPA, Feb 3: Two vehicles were damaged in course of the district shutdown enforced at the call of the opposition parties in Banepa district on Sunday.



The banda enforcers damaged a van (Ba. 8 Cha. 5942) used to transport milk and a motorcycle (Ba.42Pa.9982) for allegedly disobeying the shut down. The motorcycle rider Sagar Shrestha was also physically assaulted by the agitators.[break]



According to the Area Police Office Inspector Sagar Shrestha, the motorcycle was vandalized at the local vegetable market while the van was damaged at pulbazaar.



Likewise, the agitators also emptied the fuel of a truck on is way to Banepa.



The opposition parties enforced a banda in the district today in protest against the alleged intervention by the state authorities against the programmes organised by them in protest against the Prime Minister and other senior leaders of UCPN (Maoist), who had come to Banepa on last Tuesday.
