KATMANDU, Oct 19: Prabhu Bank recorded twin wins while Sipradi and NMB Bank also emerged victorious in the Third Century Bank Corporate Super Sixes cricket tournament that kicked off at the TU ground, Kirtipur on Wednesday.
Prabhu Bank overcame Machhapuchchhre Bank by 29 runs and Nabil Bank by 38 runs.
Choosing to bat first against Machhapuchchhere, Prabhu scored 96 runs in the allotted five overs without losing a single wicket. Raju KC (33), Manjay Pandey (21) and Dhurba Magar (17) contributed runs for Prabhu. In the run chase, Machhapuchchhre managed 67/5 at close. Prabhu also overcame Nabil Bank by 38 runs.
Similarly, Sipradi edged past Nepal Telecom by four wickets. Sipradi achieved the 49-run target set by Nepal Telecom in four overs for the loss of as many wickets.
NMB Bank registered a five-wicket win over ICFC Finance at the same venue. NMB chased down 76-run target for the loss of one wicket with a ball to spare.
Meanwhile, Nimbus, Mega Bank, Nepal SBI Bank and Century Bank also emerged victorious in the tournament.
