TU offices to reopen from Wednesday

KATHMANDU, Jan 19: Tribhuvan University is to reopen from Wednesday after an agreement between TU professors representing the administration and locals of Kirtipur area was reached Monday evening, said the university vice-chancellor Prof Dr Madhav Sharma.



The TU administration had shut down the country´s oldest indefinitely since January 1, citing growing insecurity of teacher, staff and students.



VC Sharma told myrepublica.com that regular classes at central departments will resume once the winter holidays are over.



TU Victims Struggle Committee (TUVSC) had been staging demonstrations in the university premises demanding that their 5-point demand be fulfilled.
