ILAM, Feb 20: As many as eight persons were injured when a truck met with an accident on Monday at Kolbung – 2 in Ilam along the Mechi Highway.
The truck (Ko 3 Pa 6060) was heading towards Pashupatinagar of Ilam from Birtamode of Jhapa for a supply of timber when it fell around hundred meters below the road at 6 am.
Binod Tamang, 26, Prabin Poudel, 21, Suman Poudel, 26, of Kankai municipality – 8, Rajiv BK, 17, of Dhaijan – 6, Rajesh Rai, 33, of Kankai – 2 and Bibek Subba, 21, of Dhaijan – 4 suffered minor injuries while Sabin Dhamal, 24, of Jhapa Budhabare – 4 and Deepak Rai, 42, of Kankai – 8 are in critical condition, said Superintendent of Police, Sushil Kumar Yadav, of District Police Office, Ilam.
Forty injured in truck-bus collision
The injured were rushed to B & C Hospital at Birtamode, Jhapa. The truck suddenly veered out of control and fell, police said. RSS
