The team has so far reached Melamchi, Jyamire, Bahunepati, Bansbari, Barabise, among other areas of Sindhupalchowk.Directed by Ganga Tiwari, the drama depicts varied troubles being encountered by earthquake victims, such as sexual violence, trafficking, irregularities in relief distribution, etc.
"Quake affected villages are mourning the loss of their relatives and houses. During a grave time as such, there will be few of those who shall take advantage of the situation, and such issues are already making headlines in newspapers," says director Tiwari, adding, "So, to help aware survivors while giving them hope, we initiated this project."
Since the drama follows the Forum Theater style, where audiences are asked to intervene with their decisions and/or opinions in the midst of the show, director Tiwari claims it to be impactful amongst the survivors. Coordinator of the team, Jagat Tamang says, "Since the story, dialogue and overall setting match the local community, the audiences can easily relate to the drama."
'Tripal' will be showcased in 13 VDCs in Sindhupalchowk and 12 VDCs in Kavre.
