Tremors felt in eastern Nepal

KATHMANDU, Sept 12: A moderate quake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale rocked eastern Nepal on Thursday morning.



A 4.5 magnitude earthquake struck at 10:30, with epicenter at Dhankuta bazaar area, Dhankuta, spokesperson of National Seismological Center, Lainchaur, Dilli Ram Tiwari told Republica.



The tremors were also felt in the eastern districts including Jhapa, Sunsari and Morang.



The tremors had sent people outdoors in panic. No casualties have been reported so far.
