At the call of University Struggle Committee, vehicular movement in the district was brought to a grinding halt under the part of the agitation on Saturday.
Many passengers have been stranded in the mid of their destination due to transport strike.
The protest was begun after the incumbent government decided to withdraw the bill on university establishment that tabled in the parliament.
The committee has warned to call an indefinite general strike if the demand was not met within in April 27.
