LAHAN, Dec 2: Top leaders of United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) will be absent during talks to be attended by ruling parties, main opposition and the front slated for Wednesday evening.

Two leaders from the front—Upendra Yadav and Rajendra Mahato—were present during the talks on Monday.

Chairman of Federal Socialist Forum Nepal Upendra Yadav while talking to media today in Rajbiraj said, “There is no need of chiefs of parties associated with the front during the talks.”

He was of the opinion that government can hold decisive talks with the front's talks team.

“Delineation of provinces is our major demands,” he said.

Commenting to recent special security arrangement launched by government in 18 districts of Tarai region, Yadav said, “The act is continuation of suppressive nature of the government.”

Yadav is scheduled to reach Dhalkebar, Dhanusha to attend a mass assembly. Chiefs of parties associated with the front will be delivering speeches at the protest assembly.

Sources said top leaders will then hold meeting to set guidelines for the talks team for talks with the government.

“The outcome of the talks will be decided on how major three parties present themselves on the issue of provincial delineation,” said talks team member and Vice-Chairman of FSFN Lalbabu Rawat.
