The idols were brought to Nepal for the first time on Friday evening to celebrate the Balaji wedding festival, and were sent back today after concluding the wedding ceremony last night. [break]
Wedding of the Lord Bishnu and Goddess Laxmi was held as per the religious traditions amid a function organized at the open-air-theater, Tundikhel, in the capital, by the Tirupati Balaji Wedding Festival Main Organizing Committee.
The temple of Tirupati Balaji regarded as the incarnation of the Lord Bishnu and Laxmi is in Karnataka, India. The temple is taken as a great pilgrimage for the Hindus.
A 37-member Non-Resident Nepalese Main Organizing Committee had been constituted to make the festival successful.
