It is customary to receive Tika from the hands of elders at home and to visit distant relatives to receive Tika on them as well.

In some places, there is a tradition of applying Tika only on the day of Bijaya Dashami. The process of receiving Tika will conclude after the immersion of Jamara on Ashwin Shukla Purnima, also known as Kojagrat Purnima.

The public holiday for the Bada Dashain festival, which began on the day of Phulpati (Thursday), continues until today.

With offices reopening tomorrow i.e. Tuesday, the return of those who traveled to their villages from Kathmandu has also begun.
