Three subsidiary bills of budget presented in parliament

KATHMANDU, Sept 29: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Krishna Bahadur Mahara presented the 'Finance Bill, 2073', 'Bill relating to raising National Debt, 2073' and 'Debt and Security' (21st) bill, 2073 at the second meeting of the Legislature-Parliament on Thursday.

KATHMANDU, Sept 29: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Krishna Bahadur Mahara presented the 'Finance Bill, 2073', 'Bill relating to raising National Debt, 2073' and 'Debt and Security' (21st) bill, 2073 at the second meeting of the Legislature-Parliament on Thursday.


The proposal seeking consideration on the bills was endorsed unanimously by the meeting. Responding to queries raised during discussion on the theoretical aspects of the bills, Finance Minister Mahara said the government was committed to maintaining fiscal discipline and financial transparency. "The government's emphasis is on increasing inland revenue," he said.

Stating that there was a compulsion of endorsing the bills in the current session of the parliament, the Finance Minister expressed the determination to internalize the positive feedback of the MPs.


MPs Ram Sharan Mahat, Bishnu Poudel, Rabindra Adhikari, Prem Suwal, Dilli Prasad Kafley, Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal, Chitra Bahadur KC, Geeta Chettri, Karna Bahadur Thapa, Rewati Raman Bhandari, Rameswar Phunyal and Prem Suwal took part in the discussion on the bills. RSS
