UNITED STATES, Sept 5: Three Nepali nationals belonging to the same family died in a road accident in the United States on Tuesday afternoon.
The accident took place along Highway 44 at Missouri on Tuesday afternoon. Gobinda Khanal died on the spot while his daughter Shraddha and his wife Shanta breathed their last while undergoing treatment in a local hospital.
According to local Joplin Police Department, Missouri, Prabhas Ojha(Shraddha’s husband) who was driving and four-year-old Saurya Ojha (Shraddha’s son) have sustained injuries. The condition of the child is said to be critical, the press release issued by the police stated.
The accident took place when their vehicle 'Toyota RAV4' was hit by a white Toyota van at the back.
According to relatives of the deceased, Khanal family had traveled to States after getting Diversity Visa in 2012. Shraddha’s mother and father had reached the United States three months ago. The police have launched an investigation into the incident, according to the press release.
