Three Nepali laborers detained at Seoul aiport

SEOUL, Jan 1: Three Nepali laborers have been detained at Incheon International Airport in the South Korean capital on Thursday.



According Human Resources Department officials here, the company that had sought at least five Nepalis for work expressed its inability to hire them citing economic recession. The three youth are being held at the immigration department at the airport.



The Nepalis had completed all procedures for foreign employment in South Korea. Two of the Nepalis were not allowed to board the flight in Nepal itself. The five who have re-entry work visa are Navin Gurung, Rajendra Poudel, Punya Prasad Sitaula, Khagendra Pathak and Krishna Bahadur Rokaya. They had all gone back to Nepal after taking permission from company proprietor.
