KANCHANPUR, June 28: Three farmers who went to the field for transplantation of paddy died due to sudden lightning on Monday.

According to Nepal Police, Debendra Shrestha, 40, of Kanchanpur Punarbas Municipality-6, and Sarada Thapa, 25, of ward no 8, perished after being struck by lightning while working in a field at 7:30 a.m.
Similarly, Pun Ram Chaudhary, 48, of Kanchanpur, Krishnapur Municipality-5, died on Tuesday morning after being struck by lightning while he was on his way to a plantation at Godavari Municipality-3 Radiant Gas Company, according to the Kailali District Police Office.
