ROLPA, June 23: Three people have been killed in a landslide in Rolpa.
According to police, Karmita Budha, 86, her granddaughter Syamkala Budha, 16, and her granddaughter-in-law Susila Budha, 18, died on the spot when the landslide damaged their house in Garpa of Rolpa Municipality-9 at 11:30 last night.

Meanwhile, Tika Singh Budha, 40, Sunmaya Budha, 45, and Saktiman Budha,9, were injured in the same incident. Police said they are finding it difficult to rescue the injured persons as the road leading to the village is damaged. Rolpa Police Chief Naresh Raj Subedi, who reached the incident site at night, said that a request had been made for a helicopter to rescue the injured persons.
"The incident site lies in a remote area. There is no road. It has become difficult to take the body to the hospital for postmortem,” said DSP Subedi.“ I have told the Chief District Officer about the problem. Police have rescued the injured persons from the incident site.”
