Superintendent of Police (SP) Nawaraj Silwal, chief of Metropolitan Police Range Office, Kathmandu, said the arrested have been identified as Bikash Kumar Tiwari, 37, of Rajbiraj Municipality-7, Saptari, Bikash Shrestha, 19, of Touthali VDC-5, Sindhupalchowk and Anil Khadka, 24, of BishnuVDC-9, Kathmandu.
Police have recovered a Pulsar motorcycle (Ba 29 Pa 4348) and U.S.A-made pistol one each from the arrested Shrestha and Khadka. Likewise, one revolver was found in possession with Tiwari.
Tiwari told journalist that he is holding the portfolio of joint-general secretary of NSP-A. Earlier, he also served as office secretary of NSP-A. He was arrested from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-35, Mahadevsthan area.
SP Silwal said they have begun investigation. “We are currently seeking to know who are behind supplying arms and people in nexus with them,” he said, addressing a press conference at his office.
