MUGU, Jan 25: Three people have died of viral fever in Soru Rural Municipality-6, Purumuru of Mugu.
According to local Karnajit Bumi of Jima, Soru Rural Municipality-6, Hari Bahadur Shahi, 72, Kriti Chattyal , 75, and Kusum Dholi, 24, of Purumuru have died of viral fever.
Common people of Purumuru, Jima, Bhie, Natharpu, Khwalcha, and other villages of the district have suffered from viral fever. The district hospital is full of such patients.
Viral fever kills a dozen locals in Mugu
He said that the whole village is sick but there is no help from the local government. The poor are suffering due to the lack of treatment. He said that even paracetamol is not available at the health post.
Meanwhile, the District Health Office conducted a health examination of more than 150 people from Soru Rural Municipality, Purumuru and Jima villages with a team of doctors on Tuesday.
Kamal Dhungana, a doctor at the district hospital, said that the number of patients increased due to cold and added that it will take some time to control the viral fever. He said that frequent sweating, headache, muscle pain, loss of appetite, feeling weak are some of the symptoms of viral fever.
