Three arrested with automatic weapons in Banke

RANJHA, March 2: Police have arrested three people in possession of automatic weapons and a sword. They were held from Daduwa Rural Municipality in Banke district.

RANJHA, March 2: Police have arrested three people in possession of automatic weapons and a sword. They were held from Daduwa Rural Municipality in Banke district. 


According to DSP Madhusudan Neupane of the District Police Office, Banke, they arrested three people with an automatic pistol (Made in USA) and nine rounds of bullet.

The arrested ones are Dipendra Adhikari of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-12, Sushant KC of ward no 18, and Dwarika Upadhyay of Kailali district. 


A team of police found those weapons while searching a vehicle with registration number Bagmati Province 01-025 Cha 3097 after they heard the sound of firing in the nearby Rapti Bridge.


Police made them public today at a press conference. Further investigation into the case is underway, said DSP Neupane.
