KATHMANDU, April 10: More than two dozen passengers were injured in two separate accidents in Dadeldhura and Taplejung.
At Dadeldhura, a passenger bus (Na 4 Kha 6836) en route to Achham from Dhangadi turned sideways in a curve due to a brake failure, according to Mohan Raj Joshi, chief district officer. More than 45 passengers were on board, 26 were injured – one of which is critically injured. The incident took place at Amargadhi municipality-11.

Likewise, at Taplejung, 11 people were injured when a vehicle collided with a scooter while returning from Pathibhara Temple. Five of them are critically injured and are undergoing treatment in Jhapa, according to DSP Sanjaya Singh Thapa.
The vehicle, Me 1 Ja 1486 was returning with pilgrims from Nijgadh of Bara district when it collided with a scooter at Suketar bazaar.
Those critically injured are Moti Maya Adhikari (54), Ek Nath Sigdel (42), Nishan Acharya (8), Uddav Prasad Sigdel (42), Laxmi Sigdel (38).
