KATHMANDU, Feb 7: The third Nepal-Japan Bilateral Consultation Mechanism meeting was held in Kathmandu on Friday.
During the meeting, the two sides took stock of all aspects of bilateral relations and exchanged views on further promoting cooperation between the two countries, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Similarly, both sides laid emphasis on the importance of exchanging high-level visits in order to further fortify the bilateral ties.

The meeting mainly focused on the areas of trade, tourism, investment, agriculture, infrastructure, hydropower, education, human resources, as well as culture and people-to-people contacts.
Joint Secretary and the Head of North East Asia Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal Kali Prasad Pokhrel and Director-General of the Southeast and Southwest Asian Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan Hiroshi Ishikawa led their respective delegations to the meeting.
Following the meeting, the Director-General called on the Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister Dr. Rajan Bhattarai and Foreign Secretary Shanker DasBairagi at their respective offices.
