KATHMANDU, May 9: The Nepal Distilleries has announced to support the needy amid the coronavirus pandemic by depositing Rs 1000 for each social service post on Facebook.

KATHMANDU, May 9: The Nepal Distilleries has announced to support the needy amid the coronavirus pandemic by depositing Rs 1000 for each social service post on Facebook.


Issuing a press statement on Friday, the company requested everyone to post and share pictures and videos of social service being carried out in their community on their Facebook wall by typing #thenewbrave.

For each post, the company will deposit Rs 1000 for two weeks and the collected money will be used for providing food and medical supplies to the needy people, the statement further reads.


The company also urged Facebook users to post as many pictures and videos as possible so that a huge amount would be collected for the purpose.


The company has put forth this plan in a bid to promote social service, unity, and cooperation amid this global pandemic.
