The devastating experience of April 25 2015 will never be obligerated from our memory.Thousands of people taken away from us and many left injured. The empty seat at dinner table, children compelled to live without their parents and father or mother who will never know about their child's embrace. After this tragic episode we let our neighbours a hand and people our blood.yet amidst the crowd stood few individualswho helped us back to restoration.
All the abodes were completely evacuated soon the tremor shook the ground beneath us.Overcasted by the shadow of fearand anxiety everyone gathered in a nearby chowk . one of the tough and sturdy looking building in our vicinity was completely demolished and the sight of it could break anyone into tears.
The misery started the next day when everyone was famished with hunger.Small children could be s een around the tents holding the collar of thir parents and asking for food . People were scared out of their wits and hardly anyone could attempt to enter the house and ontop of it the sight of the shattered house nearby gave everyone goosebumps.

Gangadhar Singh (Singh Sahib, for withe this name he is known in the society) had come up with the package of free food.l Belonging to the Sikh, he is enterprenure by his profession. This short bearded man with the turban is a member of Nanak Foundation and had set up the food camp in one of the ground of near by school. Everyone breathed the air of ressurection. Some helped him with arranging utensils and some led the helping hand in cooking.Soon therte was a long qeau infront of his tent. though the hunger was insasiable we were contained. later everyone donated whatever they could for the nanak foundation. Singh Sahib's generosity and his lead role in disaster management makes him an epitome of good social worker.
In those rough circumstances Gangadhar played a great role for the restoration through his philantrophic deed. Inspired by this one should always ponder upon : 'If not us then who? If not now then when?'
