KATHMANDU, August 1: Thai Airways International Public Co Ltd organized 'Blood Donation and Cardiac Health Check-up Program' in Kathmandu on Tuesday. The event was organized as part of the annual corporate social responsibility (CSR) program of Thai Airways to commemorate the 26th year of air crash of 1992 which killed 113 people, a statement issued by the Bangkok-based carrier said. Beside, the airline is also celebrating its 50th Anniversary of excellent service in Nepal, it added. According to the airline, more than 120 donors donated blood to the Red Cross Society, Blood Transfusion Service, and a maximum number of participants benefited from the free cardiac test, blood sugar test, ECG and ECO Screening. "The program was organized in association with Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre, Kathmandu under the leadership of Senior Consultant Cardiologist Dr Arun Maskey and his team," the airline added in the statement.
