Teachers start enrolling their children in community schools

PARBAT, April 22: Community school teachers are accused of admitting their children in private schools despite themselves being associated with community schools. Of late, various government authorities are pressurizing these teachers to enroll their children in the schools where they teach.

PARBAT, April 22: Community school teachers are accused of admitting their children in private schools despite themselves being associated with community schools. Of late, various government authorities are pressurizing these teachers to enroll their children in the schools where they teach.


Some of the local units have urged all civil servants and government officials including teachers to admit their children in community schools. As to get rid of various allegations, teachers of Shivalaya Secondary School (SSS) of Kushma Municipality-6 of Parbat have assured to enroll their children from the current academic year in the schools where they have been teaching.

Recently, all the teachers of the school made this announcement in the presence of Municipal Education Officer Rajendra Bahadur Chhetri, members of the school management committee, and stakeholders. Sushila Giri, one of the teachers of SSS pledged to admit both of her children in the school where she has been teaching. 


"Yes, it is true that we community school teachers did not trust on our own teaching until now. However, I have decided to admit both of my children to community school from this year," she said. 


Similarly, another teacher Ambika Subedi admitted her son in the ninth grade at SSS. Earlier, her son was studying in a local private school. "If we don't trust our own teaching, who will?" she questioned.


Likewise, another teacher Dhakaram Puri also transferred his son to SSS from a boarding school. Many other teachers are planning to implement this decision.
