Students shut curricular activities in the school in protest of corporal brutal punishment to 12-year-old student Dipesh Khati of grade four by a teacher of Durga higher secondary school Rup Narayan Bhattarai.[break]
They have demanded action against teacher Bhattarai. School remained closed when no consensus reached even with the effort of school management committee.
Action has not been taken against teacher Bhattarai when an armed group piled pressure against any punishment to him.
