Government representatives led by the Ministry of Labor and Transport Management had arranged the talks to resolve the long standing dispute on difference in salary of Nepali doctors and Indian managerial staff. Nepali doctors are on the warpath since last Sunday, demanding equal pay for equal work. [break]
The college management had asked the MoLTM to intervene into the issue after the Nepali doctors and the management failed to make any breakthrough.
Representatives from the Ministry of Industry (MoI) and Ministry of Health (MoH) were also present in the meeting.
The talks will resume on Monday.
