Take lessons from Ghalegaun for tourism promotion-President Bhandari

LAMJUNG (Besisahar), Feb 5: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said the country should take lessons from Ghalegaun for the promotion of tourism. 


President Bhandari said this on Saturday while inaugurating the Tourism Museum constructed at Ghalegaun of Lamjung. "Ghalegaun is popular as a capital of indigenous tourism", President Bhandari said, adding, "The natural landscape, culture and local products here have won the hearts of tourists".

She stressed the need to pay proper attention on sustainable agriculture system towards enhancing the livelihood of local people. President Bhandari further noted the importance of tapping the potentials of hydropower, herbal plants and agro products besides exploring tourism opportunities. 

The program was presided over by Chairperson of Ghalegaun Rural Tourism Committee Prem Ghale. 


The museum was established to draw attraction of tourists to the Ghalegaun which is also considered a model in the SAARC nations. RSS
