KATHMANDU, March 13: Papua New Guinea (PNG) emerged victorious in the Tri-nations T20 International Series final match held in Hong Kong, defeating Nepal by 86 runs in the finals.
In the final match today, PNG clinched the title after posting a formidable total of 171 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Nepal, having won the toss, opted to bowl first and managed to restrict PNG to 171 runs.

Nepal’s bowling attack was led by Kushal Bhurtel and Aakash Chand, each claiming three wickets, while Karan KC and Gulsan Jha contributed with one wicket each.
In response, Nepal’s batting lineup struggled to find momentum, with none of the batsmen able to surpass the 20-run mark.
The team was eventually bowled out for just 85 runs in 16.3 overs.
For PNG, Kabua Morea, Semo Kamea, Chad Soper, and Sese Bau claimed two wickets each, while Alei Nao secured one wicket.
With this victory, PNG secured the series title.
