Swimmer Dhital sets new record

KATHMANDU: Swimmer Shreya Dhital set a new national record on Tuesday in women´s 50m butterfly during the Fourth Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games being held in South Korea.



Dhital bettered her own record by 16 pulse seconds clocking 34.53 seconds. Similarly, Nawaraj Bhandari was defeated in Muay Thai, a martial arts event, by a Lebanese player. Similarly, female chess player Mona Lisa Khumbu has earned two points at the end of the fourth round. Khumbu won one, lost one and played draws in two boards. Unlike Khumbu, Bina Jaiswal lost all four boards. Similarly, male chess player Manish Hamal has earned 1.5 points and Prachanda Malakar 1 point.
