BHAKTAPUR, May 22: The government has started expanding the Suryabinayak-Dhulikhel road into a four-lane road in full swing 25 years after starting the expansion work. This road is being expanded as the section from Suryabinayak to Dhulikhel is narrow and traffic jams have increased along this vital route.
The Suryabinayak-Dhulikhel road section is 15.8 km. The road section is being expanded by dividing the works into two sections. As the contract process of both these sections of the road has been completed, the construction company has started the construction of the road layout, retaining wall, drain and other structures.
Suryabinayak-Dhulikhel, Dhulikhel Sindhuli-Bardibas Road Project’s Senior Division Engineer Narayan Prasad Lamichhane said that the work of expanding the two-lane road from Suryabinayak to Dhulikhel to a four-lane road has already started.
